If HR data isn’t giving useful insights, AI can change the game. For example, instead of manually sorting through exit interviews, AI can analyze patterns to show why employees leave. It can also predict which teams might face high turnover, helping HR act early. AI tools also speed up data work—no more wasting time on spreadsheets. Instead, HR can focus on improving workplace culture and making smarter hiring decisions. Think of it like using a fitness tracker—it doesn’t just count steps but shows trends, helping you make better health choices. AI does the same for HR.

AI tools can transform HR data analysis by providing deeper insights and eliminating human bias, but it’s essential to approach it with empathy. By leveraging AI for trend analysis and predictive modelling, we can make more informed decisions around talent management and employee engagement. However, the human element remains key — using data not just to drive numbers but to understand people’s needs, support their growth, and create a more inclusive workplace. When we balance technology with compassion, that’s where true innovation happens in HR.

Stay AWAY from using opensource AI tools or anything that risks your data being thrown on the internet or collected by ANY other organisation than yours. Now we've established that: you will need a closed environment in which you can capture and query your data. If your company facilitates this already: YAY, if it does't: check with IT how to do this. If you use databricks you can ask your analysts how they run reports and use AI/BI and Genie for example.
