Hot Market of the Week🔥 The Peach Truck Tour is a seasonal event where fresh, tree-ripened peaches—primarily from Georgia and sometimes South Carolina—are delivered directly to various cities across the United States. During the summer, the Peach Truck travels a set route, stopping at dozens of locations along the East Coast and throughout the Midwest. Even though most peaches in the United States are grown in California, the Southeast Region is a major producer and key region to watch this week. Dominating the Southeast peach production is Spartanburg County in South Carolina, a major producer, accounting for about 46% of the state's peach crop. In Georgia, the main peach-growing region is around Macon, the epicenter of Georgia's peach production. Combined, they produced just over 7,000 truckloads last year keeping refrigerated carriers busy all season. Outbound reefer spot rates are currently spiking in South Carolina’s Greenville market, currently the highest in three years, while in Georgia's Macon market, spot rates are 19% higher than last year. #ReeferFreight #ProduceSeason #PeachSeason #TruckloadTrends
