Cainiao Group deployed Vietnam's largest automated sorting center, and has achieved 3 day delivery from China to Mexico. Vietnam is huge. Not only is it's economy growing tremendously making it a large net buyer for crossborder ecommerce, especially from China, but a considerable amount of manufacturing is moving there, giving it a potential to one day be a huge exporter of ecomm parcels as well. Meanwhile in Mexico, Cainiao is now able to do 3 days from China to key cities in Mexico. Will Cainiao Group and JD Logistics become household names in global logistics that rivals DHL, UPS, and FedEx in the next 10 years. With China being the single largest Ecommerce market in the world, these companies with their massive home base are expanding globally to dominate global eCommerce logistics and staying extremely low key about it to avoid too much attention. #notai #ecommercelogistics #logistics #globaltrade #supplychaininnovation #vietnam #mexico

Remember when blockchain was supposed to revolutionize logistics? Startups and blockchain touts promised end-to-end transparency, real-time tracking, and seamless supply chain efficiency. But here we are, years later, and blockchain is as dead as beanie babies. What went wrong? Blockchain was always, in 100% of pitches, a solution looking for a problem. If you asked anyone in logistics, having visibility to their supply chain is absolutely an issue, but the solution they need goes far beyond abstract solutions like "everybody will post to the same blockchain." #ecommercelogistics #logistics #blockchaintechnology #supplychainmanagement #industryinnovation #technologytrends

This year DHL Group stole happy hour at DELIVER 2025 by brining 100's of bottles of German Pilsner (beer). Their timing was impeccable. During the transition moment when Deliver was moving from serving drinks to entertainment, DHL opened their refrigerators like a commercial, and hordes of eCommerce Logisticians descended towards the booth. The DHL group didn't just represent Supply Chain, but also included Express and Ecommerce. DHL has been making big moves lately, including: ➡️ Acquisition of CRYOPDP a healthcare logistics company in March ➡️ Acquisition of IDS Fulfillment last month in the US which has nothing to do with International Distribution Services that owns Royal Mail and GLS ➡️ Acquisition of Inmar Intelligence's returns business in the US ➡️ Investment/merger of DHL eCommerce UK with Evri to become Evri Premium #ecommercelogistics #logistics #globalfulfillment #businessstrategy #networking #amsterdam

Goodcang Canada just announced that they are now hitting over 1M orders per day OUTSIDE of China with the majority of it coming from the US and Canada. Very interesting to see more Chinese logistics companies like Cainiao Group and JD Logistics expanding globally. Will they become biggest names in global Ecom Logistics in the future ? GoodCang grew 80% year on year last year. #ecommercelogistics #logistics #globalshipping #fulfillmentservices #supplychaininnovation #marketexpansion

DELIVER Europe in Amsterdam this year did not only provide networking, content, food, and entertainment, but it really demonstrated why it was it's considered my many in the industry to be the World Cup of ecommerce logistics conferences. Namely, while individual markets like the US, China, and India are huge, Deliver Europe has the most well rounded attendance of ecommerce logistics services providers globally including major US/CA companies like UPS, Zonos, Dragonfly... But also having exhibitors from Asia like K-PARCEL on the crossborder side. This year, DP World took one of the largest stands to make a splash, while nearby GLS continued to dominate the show with their floor center presence. Major stands from the Big3 included UPS and DHL, who brought the way too little beer, while FedEx was noticeably missing amid public notices of retrenchment from various European offices. And lastly, there was no way to miss the stands of PostNL's Spring GDS Nederland. But the real attraction has never been the exhibitors. The magic of Deliver has always been it's guests. It's possibly the highest quality event globally in terms of the buyers that attend, which include thousands of logistics services BUYERS from the biggest companies around the world. In fact, Deliver does not permit small ecom retailers from even attending unfortunately. Yes this means that Deliver is for logistics companies who have their A-Game ready. Don't exhibit at this event unless you're ready to service the famous brands with good volumes. #ecommercelogistics #logistics #deliverconference #globaltrade #networking #amsterdam
