From the course: Balancing Multiple Roles as a Leader

Leaders balance multiple roles

- Leadership involves a complicated juggling act. You're expected to be the strategist and visionary, the coach and motivator, the subject matter expert, the agent of change, the ambassador, which means you've got a wide range of people and tasks competing for your attention every day, and time spent on one role often comes at the expense of time spent on another. Unless you can maintain some sense of balance between those roles, you'll begin to experience stress, exhaustion, and burnout. That not only takes a toll on your productivity, but the domino effect from this imbalance impacts your team and your organization. Having the skills to more effectively juggle your multiple roles as a leader can have a significant and positive impact on your career. In my LinkedIn course you'll learn how to assess the requirements of your different leadership roles, and determine a strategy for properly managing the time you devote to each one. You'll also gain the tools and insights to make seamless transitions between your roles to generate more impressive results. I'm Sarah Canaday. As a leadership expert, author, and former executive, I have worked with hundreds of managers to help them navigate the various roles they face as leaders. I'd love the opportunity to share that information with you. I wanna personally invite you to join me in my LinkedIn Learning course, Multiple Roles as a Leader. I'm confident this will help you balance the many demands of leadership, reduce your stress, and allow you to make a greater impact on your organization.
