This popularity is attributed to their ease of use, effectiveness, and environmental benefits, such as no dust and no solvent toxicity, compared to other formulation types like emulsifiable concentrates (EC) and wettable powders (WP). To maintain these advantages, it is crucial that the active ingredient remains insoluble and finely dispersed under all conditions. Crystal growth and nucleation inhibitors play a pivotal role in achieving this stability. They help prevent the formation of large crystals, which can lead to issues such as increased viscosity, reduced homogeneity, and blockages in spray nozzles. It's true, I've used it a lot in SC formulations and it works very well.
